Mr. Rowe graduated Magna Cum Laude from Bowling Green State University, Ohio, in 1976 with B.S. degrees in Physics and Mathematics. As an undergraduate he worked on modeling ionized cloud containment mechanisms in Seyfert Galaxies and was awarded several honors for these studies. As a graduate student in Physics at Caltech, he developed a new high-energy X-ray proportional detector for spaced based X-ray imaging telescopes.

As a research engineer at Magnavox, Mr. Rowe designed numerous integrated circuits in silicon and GaAs for various company products including GPS, communications transceivers and radars. Before leaving Magnavox for Sierra Monolithics, he led a group of 20 design engineers in these disciplines.

As co-founder and CTO for Sierra Monolithics, Mr. Rowe has led the development of more than 20 SiGe integrated circuits including large crosspoint switches, ultra-wideband transceiver chips, GPS receivers, tester electronics, and 10 and 40 GBPS TIAs and SerDes chips. He has authored over 30 papers in his career in Physics, Mathematics and Electronics, and holds six patents for the design of novel circuit architectures and testing methods.
