Senior Product Engineer (Req# 040747)

LOCATION: Irvine, CA

JOB DESCRIPTION

The ideal candidate will be a highly self-motivated, self-managing engineer able to implement successful product launches from initial device turn-on and debug to volume production release as well as enhance existing solutions for optimal product profitability. This is a hands-on position requiring communication, leadership and teamwork involving global design, applications, test and manufacturing personnel.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Education: MS degree preferred, EE or Computer Science
Experience: >5 years

Background preferred but not limited to VLSI, RF circuit design, wireless communication technology, mixed-signal systems, experience with electronics laboratory design and test instruments. High speed 10Gbps digital communications experience is preferred with focus on PHY implementations.

Specific duties and responsibilities include:

Participate on new product development teams to ensure adequate testability, perform test conversion tasks, implement test solutions, characterize and qualify products for production release
Understand contributors to cost and drive cost reductions through improvements to product yields, packaging and/or test solutions
Debug and resolve real-time manufacturing, customer return, and design application issues as required
Full Quality responsibility for the MIL product line
Ensure product quality meets/exceeds customer expectations and is consistent with corporate requirements
