Sustaining/Component Engineer (Req# 040746)

LOCATION: Redondo Beach, CA

JOB DESCRIPTION

This position performs varied and complex assignments in support of the Sierra Monolithics Military Product Line. The candidate is expected to have an extensive knowledge of board and module assemblies, military quality requirements, line troubleshooting, ECN/ECO management and end of life (EOL) management. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all products meet quality and customer performance standards.

Education: BSEE
Experience: >5 years with extensive hands-on experience

Responsibilities:

Line troubleshooting for electrical and mechanical issues and the ability to drive to closure between all functional groups at SMI
New Product Introduction (NPI) working with the Design team to deliver new solutions to our customers
ECN/ECO management for all aspects of the MIL line
Full Quality responsibility for the MIL product line
End of life (EOL) management and qualifying new suppliers for components
Yield reporting and data review to the Operations team
