TEST SOFTWARE ENGINEER (Req# 040724)

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Test Software Engineer will report into the Test Engineering group and support the development and optimization of software applicationsfor testing RFIC products. The scope of responsibility includes GUI development, extensive C and C++ programming, I/O driver development inPC environment, development of test scripts for test automation, and collaboration with team members to resolve technical issues. The position entails working closely with a team of RF hardware engineers and other departments.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Significant C and C++ programming experience
Device driver development in both Windows and Linux
Familiar with GUI development (e.g., Trolltech's Qt)
Knowledge of networking and protocols: Ethernet, IP, UDP, TCP/IP, FTP, Routing and Internet Concepts (LPT, GPIB, 1394 and RS232 is a plus)
Knowledgeable of databases (e.g. SQL)
Familiarity with RF, Analog and digital test equipment desired
An electrical hardware engineering background desired
Experience programming with NI Test Stand and LabVIEW desired
Able to multitask between different projects
BSEE degree with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience is required; MSEE is desired
Occasional travel to remote facilities will be required
U.S. citizenship required.
