PRODUCT ENGINEER, RF/ANALOG IC DEVICES (Req# 040721)



JOB DESCRIPTION

The IC Product Engineer will report into the PT/TE/Operations Department. The individual who fills this position will work closely with Design Engineering, Marketing, and Manufacturing to manage the product qualification, characterization, yield and production ramp-up phases for new products. He will interface with marketing for customer characterization and failure analysis requirements.

This Product Engineer will be responsible for leading the development of all product qualification, characterization and test requirements for the semiconductor devices. He/She will define and execute the requirements for new product introduction and release to production. The devices include mixed signal/RFIC devices.

Specific responsibilities include:
  • New product characterization using lab equipment and ATE
  • Test program and process flow definition for optimized yield, cost and quality
  • Yield improvement through detailed analysis and design engineering interaction
  • Manage IC product reliability qualification tasks and analyze reliability data. Reliability testing may be out-sourced or performed in-house
  • Responsible for out-going quality of IC products.
  • Support customers with application notes, characterization and technical assistance in areas including, but not limited to, reliab ility, board assembly and optimization recommendations
  • Provide technical support as the responsible product engineer to Manufacturing and Marketing for IC products.
  • The position will require travel to off-site assembly and test subcontractors, including locations in the US and Asia

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Education: Minimum BS, MS preferred; EE, Materials, or Physics
  • Qualifications: 2-5 years experience in the semiconductor industry as a product, test or design engineer. Knowledge of RF and high speed analog/mixed signal devices and processes technologies is a plus
  • Skills: Working knowledge of both RFIC and mixed signal device evaluation, characterization and testing is required. Understanding of reliability/qualification testing for ICs per MIL-STD-883 and JEDEC procedures is required
